Medical sources in hospitals across the Gaza Strip reported on Tuesday that 23 Palestinians have died over the past two days as a result of acute malnutrition and dehydration in various areas of the enclave, amid the ongoing Israeli blockade and the worsening humanitarian crisis.
The sources explained that four additional deaths were recorded since dawn today, including two children, bringing the toll of those who have perished due to hunger and lack of medical care to alarming levels, amid mounting warnings of an imminent collapse of the entire health system.
These deaths come at a time when Gaza’s hospitals are under immense pressure, receiving hundreds of patients suffering from severe emaciation and malnutrition—particularly among children and the elderly—amid a crippling shortage of food, medicine, and clean water.
