Gaza Government Media Office: Israel Spreads Lies After Families Secure Aid Deliveries

The Government Media Office in Gaza stated on Thursday, June 26, 2025, that Palestinian families and clans were the ones who secured the delivery of aid convoys to northern Gaza, without any involvement from governmental bodies or factions. The office firmly rejected the claims made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant regarding alleged control of aid by the Palestinian government or Hamas.

Below is the full statement as received by Sawa News Agency:

Gaza Government Media Office

The Israeli occupation spreads falsehoods about humanitarian aid to justify ongoing starvation, engineered chaos, and the closure of crossings for the 118th consecutive day.

“We categorically reject the fabricated claims made by the criminal Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defense Minister Yisrael Katz about alleged control by the government or Hamas over aid in northern Gaza. These baseless accusations are aimed at legitimizing the continuation of the blockade, starvation policies, and the prevention of humanitarian relief, now for the 118th straight day.

We clarify to public opinion that the delivery of aid convoys to northern Gaza was secured solely by Palestinian families and clans, without any interference from the Palestinian government or political factions. This was a popular initiative to deliver scraps of food to hundreds of thousands of starving civilians.

These cheap lies reveal that the occupation continues to ‘engineer chaos’ and spread false narratives in an attempt to justify the prolonged closure of crossings and the obstruction of aid—constituting a full-fledged crime against more than 2.4 million starving Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”
