Within 24 Hours: 10 Deaths from Famine and Malnutrition in Gaza

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced at midday on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, that 10 people have died from famine and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.
The ministry added that this brings the total number of deaths from famine and malnutrition to 111.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) had earlier warned that malnutrition among children under the age of five has doubled between March and June as a result of the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip.
UNRWA explained that its health centers and medical points conducted nearly 74,000 screenings for children during this period to detect malnutrition, identifying approximately 5,500 cases of severe acute malnutrition and more than 800 cases of critical acute malnutrition.
